Los Gallegos was formed in 2003 when four brothers decided to start a band together. They quickly gained popularity in their hometown of Tucson, Ariz. after recording their first album in 2004 and then winning the Budweiser Battle of the Bands in 2005. Soon they were traveling to surrounding states, becoming regulars at festivals from San Antonio to Washington D.C. Early on, Los Gallegos focused on Tejano and Norteño while occasionally mixing in everything from old school funk to country.

However, after entering and winning a battle of the bands amongst solely Norteño bands in 2010, they decided to focus more on that genre. By 2016, most of the brothers were married and decided to take some time off in order to focus on their respective families. They would make their last public appearance on New Year’s Eve in 2016 at the Desert Diamond Casino, where they had been regulars inside the popular Monsoon Nightclub.

Tragically, member and brother Gabriel Gallegos passed away in April 2019. In his honor, the remaining brothers have decided to return for one more show on the same stage of their last public appearance exactly 3 years later—with the future of Los Gallegos yet to be determined.
