AMBROSIA WITH SPECIAL GUEST PETER BECKETT AT THE DIAMOND CENTER
Originally labeled as America’s answer to the progressive invasion of such English acts as “Yes” and “King Crimson,” Ambrosia quickly proved it was all that and much more as its albums painted aural landscapes covering the gamut of musical styles and attracting the collaboration of such cultural icons as Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and Alan Parsons. In its brief recording history, Ambrosia garnered five Grammy nominations, including five hit singles. Today, Ambrosia is exploring new musical territory and continuing to wow life-long fans and new converts alike.
Peter Beckett wrote and produced several albums as Player. Concurrently, he spent nine years in Little River Band, writing several singles for them as well as a featured performer singing “Baby Come Back” at every show. He has also penned music for many movies and television shows including Karate Kid, St Elmo’s Fire (Grammy nominated), and Terminator 3. Peter Beckett continues to tour with many other classic ‘70s bands and with his own Player band.
