ZZ Top, the “little ol’ band from Texas,” grew to become one of the nation’s top rock and roll groups of the era. After forming in 1969, band mates Bill Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard took their show on the road, becoming a staple party band known for their fun-loving tunes and earning recognition as a top touring act. Together they created smash albums, including earning eleven gold and platinum albums in a row that was jump started with the release of Tres Hombres in 1973. Still a strong presence today, ZZ Top is known for singles such as “Tush,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’” and “Legs,” the latter two also huge video hits on MTV.

The success of ZZ Top was highlighted in 2004 when the trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their iconic image—Gibbons and Hill sporting sunglasses and long beards—has been a mainstay in pop culture since emerging on the music scene. They’ve been referenced and parodied on various movies and television shows, including “Flight of the Conchords,” “The Simpsons,” and Pulp Fiction.

Treena Parvello, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise, said, “ZZ Top is coming to Desert Diamond Casino for the first time on July 26th and we couldn’t be more excited to host such an accomplished and entertaining group. We all know the words to ‘Legs’ and now is your chance to sing along with the three greats themselves—Beard, Hill, and Gibbons!”
