MEET THE BEATLES (TWIST & SHOUT) AT DESERT DIAMOND CASINO

(Tucson, Arizona) --- Beatlemania is back in a big way. Thirty-nine years after The Beatles called it quits, famed tribute group, Twist & Shout, is evoking the timeless classics on a magical tour. They’re stopping at Desert Diamond Casino’s Diamond Center on Friday, August 21st. Tickets range from $5 to $20 in advance and are on sale now. They can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location, by calling 1-800-745-3000, by contacting the Desert Diamond Casino Box Office, or by visiting www.desertdiamondcasino.com. Doors open at 7:00 PM with the performance beginning at 8:00 PM.

The Fab Four need no introduction. They've been idolized, fanaticized, plagiarized, and eulogized over the past six decades. With more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one, and more than a billion records sold worldwide, there is no argument over the greatness that is The Beatles.

Twist & Shout, headlined by Tony Kishman (Paul), Tom Teeley (George), Carmine Grippo (Ringo), and Jim Owen (John), bring the classic hits back to life with a tribute concert, performing over thirty songs that cover every stage in The Beatles’ career. Opening with a recreation of the 1964 set of the Ed Sullivan Show, “The Beatles” play hits like “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You.” The Sergeant Pepper era—“Penny Lane” and “A Day in the Life”—is then followed. The long-haired hippie days close out the show, where hits such as “Abbey Road” and “Let it Be” are remembered.

Members of Twist & Shout are veterans of the Broadway hit, Beatlemania. The group was recently voted Northern Nevada’s “Cabaret Show of the Year” for the second year in a row. They broke the attendance record at Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe and have played sold-out shows at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas, and others.

Treena Parvello, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise, said, “The Beatles are back! And everyone can hear them for only five bucks at Desert Diamond Casino on August 21st.”
